About the authors of George Washington: A Timeless Hero
Camelia Sims fell in love with history and heroic historical figures in her childhood. Her interest in history led to a B.A. in History and an M.A. in International Relations from the University of Southern California. For six years she worked for our federal government in Washington D.C., and made several visits to Mount Vernon reawakening her interest in George Washington.
Laura Gore has a B.A. in Political Science and loves to write. She had the privilege of serving as speechwriter and ghostwriter to Governor Bob Martinez of Florida. She moved to Washington D.C. when Gov. Martinez became the Drug Czar. She was the Associate Editor of the Alcohol, Health & Research World, an award winning science journal. Presently she is the Public Relations Director of the American College of Emergency Physicians.
